Edward J. Trainor
Chairman of the Board
Ted began at Standex in 1984 and rose steadily through the ranks to become Chairman and CEO. After joining Standex as Vice President and General Manager at National Metal Industries, Ted was named President of the Institutional Products Group in 1987. He became Vice President of the Company in 1992, President and Chief Operating Officer in 1994 and Chief Executive Officer in 1995. Ted was elected to Standex's Board of Directors in 1994 and was elected Chairman in 2001. During his tenure, Ted has completed both the largest acquisition and the largest divestiture in the company's history.
Ted began his career as an engineer at Eastman Kodak Company and then became a Group Vice President with C.H. Stuart, a privately owned conglomerate. At C.H. Stuart, Ted was responsible for all manufacturing and distribution operations.
Ted received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Boston University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He also completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. Ted is a member of the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at Boston University.
Thomas L. King
Vice Chairman of the Board
Tom King was named Chairman of the Board in 1992, the culmination of a nearly 40-year career at Standex that began in 1963 when he was named President of the Company's South American Coca Cola operations. Tom became Vice Chairman in 2001 when current CEO Ted Trainor was elected as Chairman.
After Standex sold its Coca Cola franchises in 1968, Tom served as President of three Standex divisions, Roehlen Ltd., Spincraft and Lanham Clothes. In 1970, he joined Standex's Board of Directors, a position he holds today. Tom was named Treasurer in 1974, Senior Vice President in 1979, Executive Vice President in 1982, President and Chief Operating Officer in 1984 and President and Chief Executive Officer in 1985. Tom holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA in Finance from Harvard Business School. He serves on the Board of the Epilepsy Association of Massachusetts.
Roger L. Fix
President and Chief Executive Officer
Roger Fix was named President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2003.
He joined Standex in 2001 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to
joining Standex Roger had 25 years of experience running large enterprises with diverse manufacturing operations. Roger most recently served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Outboard Marine Corporation, a recreational marine manufacturing company based in Chicago. He joined Outboard Marine in June 2000 as Chief Operating Officer and was subsequently named Chief Executive Officer, where he presided over the reorganization and liquidation of the company.
Prior to his position at OMC, Roger was Chief Executive at John Crane, a $1 billion global manufacturer of mechanical seals for the process industry. He began at John Crane in 1996 as President-North America and was named Chief Executive in 1998. As Chief Executive, Roger was responsible for 35 manufacturing locations, 220 sales and service offices and 7,200 employees. Earlier in his career, Roger held senior management positions at XOMOX, a division of Emerson Electric,
Reda Pump, a division of Pearsons, Plc. and Fisher Controls Company, a manufacturer of process control valves and electronic instrumentation.
Roger holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska.
Deborah A. Rosen
Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary
Deborah Rosen joined Standex in 1985 as a Corporate Staff Attorney, to develop the Company's Legal Department. She became Senior Corporate Attorney and Assistant Secretary in 1987, and assumed the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary responsibilities in 1998. She was promoted to her current position as Vice President, General Counsel in July 1999 and elected to Standex's Board of Directors in October 2001. Prior to joining Standex, Deborah worked for several law firms in Los Angeles and Boston. Debbie holds a Jurist Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University at Northridge.
Christian Storch
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Christian Storch was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2001.
He was elected to the Board of Directors in October 2004. He came to Standex in July 1999 as Manager of Corporate Audit and Assurance Services. Before joining the Company, Christian was a Divisional Financial Director and Corporate Controller at Vossloh AG, a multi-million dollar publicly held German manufacturer of components for the lighting, railroad and transportation industries. Prior to Vossloh, he was an Audit Manager with Deloitte & Touche in Dusseldorf, Boston and Berlin. Christian received his graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Passau, Germany. He is a Certified Tax Advisor in Germany and a Certified Public Accountant in the United States.
Timothy S.
O'Neil
Chief Accounting Officer
Timothy O'Neil been employed by the Company since November 2002, and has
served as Assistant Treasurer since November 2003.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. O’Neil was employed by Deloitte &
Touche LLP, a public accounting firm. Mr.
O’Neil has been a certified public accountant since 1998.
Randy L. Scott
Group Vice President, Consumer Group and President Standard Publishing
Randy Scott was named Group Vice President/Consumer Group, and President of
Standard Publishing in December 2002. Randy had leadership experiences in
publishing, direct mail and consumer retail businesses. Before Standex,
Randy spent 11 years at Cook Communications, one of the worlds largest
non-denominational publishing houses, where he held various positions in general
management before being promoted to Vice President of development and
ultimately, Vice President and Publisher. Prior to Cook Communications,
Randy was President of Rainfall Inc., a toy and gift company.
Duane
Stockburger
Group Vice President, Food Service Group, President Master-Bilt Products
Duane Stockburger was named Food Service Group Vice President in January
2003. He joined Standex in 1997 as President of the Master-Bilt
Division. Prior to joining Standex, Duane had 34 years of managerial and
marketing experience in diverse manufacturing businesses. Most recently
serving as President of Varco-Pruden Buildings, a $300 million manufacturing
company with seven plants. Duane holds a B.S. degree in Industrial
Engineering from Iowa State University and attended the Executive Education
program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
